Free Smart Grid Seminar 4/21 in Sunnyvale

I'm speaking tomorrow night (4/21) at the Smart Grid Council of Silicon Valley's maiden event, being held at Detati Communications in Sunnyvale. I'll be addressing the state of Smart Grid in the consumer home area network (HAN) from a regulatory and standards standpoint; Yvan Castilloux from People Power will address consumer energy efficiency and awareness, as well as open source software for the HAN.

To learn more and to register for Empowering Consumers to Go Green, click here. Space is limited, so please register in advance; assuming we don't burst at the seams, we should be able to accommodate walk-ins, but registering in advance will help the organizers properly plan for refreshments.

Hope to see you!

I Seem to Have Lost a Quarter

No, not two bits. Like, nearly three months since my last post. What the heck? I know, I know...busy is no excuse.

What's new...lots of pounding on Clear's 4G network. In fact, I'm sitting in Santa Clara right now, enjoying a 10 mb/s downstream, 2 mb/s upstream link. Tons of stuff going on in Smart Grid, as you might expect, too--seeing some very innovative stuff in the home energy management system world. More on that soon, but more on the femtojack sooner...
